Why do we love to be scared?

This is a question that we’re asked many times. But, it’s not that we love to be scared, it’s about learning about what comes after death. It’s about learning why spirits are here.

Paranormal investigating isn’t necessarily scary. As a matter-of-fact, there are very few times that the members are really scared during investigations and we are almost never in a position that we feel threatened to be harmed.

But, that’s not to say, each investigation comes with its share of adrenaline rushes. Because, usually, when we go into an investigation, we never know what we’re going to run into or what we are going to find. So, naturally, our fear level does rise.

Being scared brings thrill into our lives. It starts early in our lives with a game we’ve all played with parents, friends, and family. Remember growing up and hiding behind the door and jumping out to scare your sister, brother, mother, or father?

Remember staying up late at night during a sleepover and watching forbidden movies such as “The Poltergeist”, “Friday the 13th”, or “The Conjuring”? Boy, how I love scary movies, especially of haunted houses or possession cases. They make our hearts race, anxiety rise and excitement like no other. It’s wonderful!

Halloween is a time for haunted houses, scary costumes, tales of the dead and we love it all- but why? Because the thrill touches something inside us all that can’t be touched any other way. So, we move on and search for fear from year to year.

Not everyone seeks the thrill of a good scare. So, we all have to be respectful of that.

With all that said, our group isn’t looking for a good scare. We aren’t looking for the thrill of the entertaining haunted houses or a scream from a horror movie, we are looking for the real reason for the bumps in the night, the real reasons for shadows descending down staircases, and finding reasons why a loved one has not passed on.

We do this because we love it!
